Fire
Fire testing carried out by the CSTB in France
on 300mm thick walls made of Hemcrete®
blocks laid in lime mortar, with no plaster or
render, showed that the wall remained intact
for 1hr and 40 minutes. The Hemcrete® blocks
did not fail after this time, but the mortar joints
did.
Based on the results of these tests Tradical®
Hemcrete® has been approved in locations
where one hour fire resistance is required.
